2017 | BIO

over the years, i’ve journeyed through different traditional artistic mediums, but now find myself breaking away from them. this progressive art journey is evident when viewing my work in chronological order. today, i’m a mixed media artist.

my background in the arts varies widely from amatuer guitarist and hobby-level guitar repair technician to large-format live-sound engineering for musical competitions, plays, and recording artists; from graphic design and award-winning web development to teaching english as a second language to writing a curriculum for a private high school group on the topic of social behavior and ethics.

i am not an american, but was born in america.

What inspires Shad Hall? 

the [intellectual stimulation of] anticipation of where the artwork journey is going to lead me.

Other interests 

i have a mad love of craft ales and having brewed several batches myself, i am getting into more complex brewing. ever made soup that takes hours to make? beer isn’t much different. i have a love for nautical media and love watching surfing. i regularly follow the WSL. i love playing japanese "riichi" mahjong (not solitaire) in my spare time. i'm also fascinated with fashion and architectural design/remodeling and have dabbled in both.
